Kim Lone is an artist of sublime beauty and depth. She is living and working in Graz, Austria. She started her career as musician in London. The passion and conviction of Piaf and Dietrich with the charisma, beauty and glamour of Monroe and Joesphine Baker Songs of infinite sadness and loss, ambiguously celebrated in a bohemian orgy of velvet, champagne and tears. By highlighting the constructed nature of the theatrical event, Lone communicates that the audience’s reality is, in fact a construction and, as such, is changeable. She worked with names Jamie Morgan (Neneh Cherry), Youth, The Verve, Dido and Tim Bran.
She questions and dissolves many of the accepted practices of what an artist is at this time and has created a unique vision with her work and performance. Not only a singer songwriter also an actress, illustrator, designer, writer, poet and now mainly as a painter whose artistic interpretation is influenced by her broad spectrum of interests.
Her newest special edition „It’s Pop-Art Baby“ shows her unique Pop-Art painting style that shows faces of people in the diverse echelons of society placed in the relational fields of current politics, class roles and the ambiguities of those often eccentric individualists. She brings those characters together in love and peace in her paintings overcoming any conflicts, living together in harmony under the motto: „No time for war“.
