The Austrian artist Veronika Erhart neither paints on canvas or paper, nor does she sculpt with wood and stone, she creates colourful objects in space. Folding around each other, colour and aluminium interweave in space, forming Bauhaus inspired cubic arrangements. Folding becomes a process of creation of space in relation to art through colour. Pure colour upon pure metal creates an object that developes in space as a field of threedimensional feeling through art, losing the two-dimensional plane of a canvas. It is an interruption in space that purifies and brings clarity of form and colour and envokes purity as principle of art.
